In addition to playing in the snow, you can take a scenic hike to the summit of Lake Mountain, rent toboggans, and enjoy other activities. Embrace your inner child with direct transfer and admission included in this stunning Alpine resort.
The Alpine resort, known as Lake George, is not situated near a lake but instead a mountain. Visitors can conveniently drive 120 km North East from Melbourne right up to the resort without the need for transfer buses or lift passes. The resort is surrounded by a vast network of cross-country ski tracks and toboggan fields and offers modern facilities for guests to enjoy. Visitors will have plenty of time to appreciate the charming chalets with breathtaking views of the mountains. The resort provides a range of amenities, including a restaurant and day shelter, a café, ski equipment rentals, a retail shop, a snow sports centre, a ski school, and more.

Visitors can enjoy three hours of activities, including tobogganing, cross-country skiing, snow-shoe walks, and snowball fights.

Another option is to hike to the summit of Lake Mountain for stunning snowy views.

In the afternoon, embark on a 700-meter trek to the magnificent Steavenson Falls, recognized as one of Victoria’s tallest waterfalls.

This waterfall is named in tribute to John Steavenson, a former Assistant Commissioner of Roads and Bridges who explored Marysville in 1862. The waterfall dramatically cascades 84 meters down into the Steavenson River Valley. It is the centrepiece of the 190-hectare Steavenson Falls Scenic Reserve.

Since the 1860s, Steavenson Falls has emerged as a beloved tourist spot in Marysville. Its unique charm and extraordinary natural scenery are bound to captivate you. The falls, comprising five levels and totalling a descent of 122 meters, are indeed an awe-inspiring natural marvel.

En route back to Melbourne, we traverse the Yarra Valley and pause at a well-respected chocolate establishment.

Uncover an assortment of delightful confections at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery. Delve into their selection of artisan chocolate items and partake in free tastings. You also have the option to buy and relish these tasty treats at your residence.

Guests can appreciate the picturesque landscapes of vineyards, undulating hills, and mountain chains encircling the grounds of the Yarra Valley in Australia. It presents a charming spot for lovers and wine enthusiasts.
