Itinerary
Day 1: Alice Springs / Yulara - Uluru
From Alice Springs or Yulara (Uluru Airport), the journey begins towards Ayers Rock (Uluru). Along the way, we make a stop at Mt Conner lookout to admire the views of this remarkable red mountain. After a quick break at Curtin Springs, we settle in at our campground for lunch. Please note that only guests from Alice Springs will have lunch provided. Guests from Ayers Rock will need to arrange their lunch before joining the tour.
After lunch, we visited the Red Centre’s indigenous interpretive cultural centre. We learned about the park’s cultural, historical, ecological, and geological significance there. We were excited to see Uluru up close. We trekked to Mutitjulu waterhole, exploring sacred rock art sites in family caves. We listened to ancient creation stories and dream-time myths as we hiked towards Kuniya Piti. We then drove to Kantju Gorge, passing through sacred sites and arriving at Central Australia’s highest waterfall. After a full day of exploration, we witnessed a spectacular sunset at Uluru. We enjoyed panoramic views while our dinner was cooked.
