This 2-day tour offers a unique experience of the Great Ocean Road & Otway Forest allowing you to explore and enjoy all the major attractions while venturing off the beaten path. You’ll have the opportunity to witness magnificent sunsets at the 12 Apostles, encounter rare wildlife such as Koalas and Kangaroos, and even explore the inside of an extinct volcano.

 Additionally, you’ll have the chance to walk a portion of the Great Ocean Walk and experience the lifestyle of the Surf Coast. With so much to offer, this tour is just the beginning of an unforgettable adventure.

Itinerary 

We will drive through ancient lava fields in western Victoria to reach Warrnambool, a small seaside town. We will also visit Tower Hill, a recently extinct volcano rich in wildlife. At Tower Hill, we can take a guided walk with Worn Gundidj to learn about the traditional lifestyle of Australia’s indigenous people and see some iconic Australian animals up close. Our drive will continue along the Great Ocean Road, this time starting with the Shipwreck Coast. We will visit famous landmarks such as the Bay of Islands, The Grotto, and London Bridge. We will also have time to explore the village of Port Campbell. Dinner will include locally made beers from Sow & Piglets Brewery. Finally, we will end the day at the 12 Apostles to watch the sunset.

The second day starts with climbing the stairs to Loch Ard Gorge’s beach before the crowds arrive. Then, a walk along a section of the Great Ocean Walk and down to the beach level at the Apostles at Gibson Steps. After that, retreat into the Otway rainforest, where the hidden Redwoods of the Otways will amaze. These trees are the tallest and second tallest species in the world, side by side. Then, continue the coastal drive past Apollo Bay and Lorne to experience the Aussie beach lifestyle. Visit the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice-Creamery for delicious treats and a famous surf beach before returning to Melbourne around 7:00 pm.
