Rumours of a Ruinous Wall
Friday, 21 November 2008
to Saturday, 22 November 2008
Rumours of a Ruinous Wall is a totally unique arts project, designed to give the voice of spectacle to young people living in, and around, Sale. An exciting large-scale open-air performance against the backdrop of the Entertainment Centre, it follows the story of a fictional society who live near a wall that will, one day, fall down. Rumours of a Ruinous Wall explores our fears and dreams for the future - our responses, and our responsibility. Rich visual imagery is created through physical performance, design and projected image to present a theatre performance straight from the imagination of our vibrant community of young people.
Rumours of a Ruinous Wall will be a free outdoor performance on the evenings of the 21st and 22nd of November.
Rumours of a Ruinous Wall is presented by Gippsland Regional Arts Sale as part of the Water Water Goes Wild Festival, and is developed over six months of workshops and planning with the youth of Wellington. It is directed by Jessica Wilson, working with Eva Grunden, Darren McCubbin and Deb Milligan and is supported by the Wellington Shire.
