The Wellington region is home to a number of unique and picturesque Golf Courses, catering to all levels, from beginners to the more serious golfer. Select from a short "par 3" course, to the more traditional regional courses, or for a relaxed friendly hit you can experience the character of one of our "out of the way" courses, set in natural bushland and abundant with native wildlife.  All our courses make for a memorable golfing experience.

Sale Golf Club

Located at Longford, a short drive from Sale, the Sale Golf Club offers an 18 hole 5770 metre par 70 course located on a sand belt with gently undulating fairways and quick greens that will challenge the weekend golfer through to the golfer looking for a sterner test.

The opening three holes wind their way to the escarpment to reveal breath taking panoramic views over the RAMSAR listed wetlands below and the rugged character of the distant mountain ranges of Gippsland's high country.

Yarram Golf Club

Located on the A440 3km East of Yarram, the Yarram Golf Club is one of Gippsland's premier golf courses inviting you to experience the excellent year round playing conditions on a watered sandbelt course.

Queues are a rarity and a sense of ease and relaxation is always present.

Koalas and other native wildlife ar regularly seen on this tranquil natural bush setting course. 

The Yarram golf club course is 18 holes and 5,761 metres with a par of 72.  Hire clubs and buggies are available.

Competitions:  Mens; Tues & Sat, Ladies Tues & Sat, Group bookings welcomed, membreship available and visitors welcome.  Club house is licenced and has snack and BBQ facilities. Accommodation weekend deals available.  ACR 69

Maffra Golf Club

The Maffra Golf Club boasts the best greens outside the metropolitan area, with genetly undulating wide, open fairways for an easy walk,  You will be suprised to find a course of this quality "out in the sticks". 

The course is 19 holes, 6065 metres, par 72.  Hire clubs and buggies are available.

Competitions:  Mens: Wed & Sat, Ladies: Thurs, Men & Ladies: Sun, Veterans: Tues (monthly), membership available and  visitors welcome.  Club house open competition days, package deals available with Maffra Motel and Sports Club and Cambrai Backpackers.

The Course has its own caravan park for golfers with full facilities available.

Heyfield Golf Club

The Heyfield Golf Club is set in a natural bush setting boasting 18 well manicured grass greens and is situated 2 km from the Heyfield township.

The course is playable all year and is undulating, has no bunkers, has a tight layout and is heavily timbered.

Over recent years the course has undergone considerable improvement to become a challenging test of golf for all who play it.  The course is 5924 metres, Par 72.  Hire clubs and buggies always available.

Competitions:  Mens: Fri, Sat, Sun   Ladies: Wed, Fri & Sun. Group bookings welcomed. Memberships available and visitors welcome.  The Club house bar is open competition days, snacks are available, group catering can be arranged.  BBQ facilities available to all visitors. ACR 70

Newry Golf Club

An easy to play course with fairways lined with beautiful old redgums are a feature of the Newry Golf Course.

The course boasts grass greens and only two bunkers.  It is mainly flat and is an easy stroll wtih no hills making it suitable for people of all ages.  The 18 hole cours is 5671 metres Par 71.

Competitions: Mens: Thurs, Sat & Sun, Ladies: Wed, Veterans: Thurs.  Group bookings welcomed, membership available and visitors welcomed.  Licenced club house and accommodation available nearby.  ACR 69

 Sale Par 3 Golf Course

To brush up on your short game, or have a bit of fun with work collegues or the kids, the Sale Par 3 Golf Course is the ticket.!   Located in the City of Sale, the course provides 9 short Par 3 holes as well as facilities for families and groups. 

Located in Dargo St Sale, behind the Port of Sale.  Open 7 days.
