The Wellington region offers visitors many great campsites located in our high country or on our coastline.
National Parks free campsites are available in the Alpine National Park and along the 90 Mile Beach between Seaspray and Golden Beach. Camping is also available near Dargo and along the Macalister River north of Lake Glenmaggie. Other great camping areas include the Briagolong area, Clydebank, Grant, Holey Plains NP, Lake Wellington, McGaurans Beach, Reeves Beach, Rosedale, Emu Bight in the Lakes National Park, Valencia Ck and Yarram areas.
Low cost campsites are also available at many of the caravan parks in Wellington. A free caravan park brochure listing all the caravan parks within the Shire is available from the Wellington Visitor Information Centre - Sale or can be downloaded from this website.
