A beautiful small country town not far from Heyfield. It is home to the Old Butter Factory that was established in 1918 it has now been transformed into the contemporary Cowwarr Art Space. The Cowwarr Art Space has a number of exhibitions, artist-in-residence and annual exhibitions that make this a unique space for artists from around Gippsland and further afield.
The Cowwarr Cricket Club Hotel is home to a boutique restaurant, they boast ‘real food for real people’. They also host a High Tea on Sunday afternoons. The Gippsland Plains Rail trail runs right through Cowwarr, so why not make the art gallery and high tea part of your cycling journey?
